Kānuka
Kānuka (Kunzea robusta) is one of New Zealand's iconic pioneer species and plays an important role in ecological succession and habitat restoration.
Fast growing and hardy, Kānuka provides shelter for other native plants while creating valuable habitat for birds, insects and lizards.
Over time, Kānuka helps establish the framework for healthy riparian and wetland ecosystems to develop and mature.
Kānuka is also increasingly popular in larger gardens and lifestyle blocks, where it provides shelter and attracts native wildlife.
