Canada Goose
The Canada Goose is another introduced species that has become well established throughout New Zealand and is a regular feature of the Waikawa landscape.
Their distinctive calls and characteristic V-shaped formations overhead are familiar to many residents.
While large populations can sometimes create management challenges, Canada Geese form part of the wider ecological picture that exists within our modified landscapes.
